Born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in Costa Rica, Manuela Quintero began her dance training at the age of four. She trained in various techniques such as: Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Contemporary and Lyrical. During her teen years she attended numerous conventions and competitions in which she won various awards and scholarships with her dance studio and by herself. Manuela has also worked and participated in various Coca Cola flash mobs in Costa Rica and danced in the famous Coca Cola tree lighting in San Jose. She also had the opportunity to attend the Dance Awards in New York City as a “Best Dancer” finalist during three consecutive years, which gave her the opportunity to perform in both the Beacon Theater and the Hammerstein Ballroom in an opening dance number choreographed by Mandy Moore. Manuela was the recipient of an artistic scholarship and graduated with honors from the University of The Arts under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. During her time at UArts she performed in works by Milton Myers, Douglas Becker, Ronen Koresh, Justin Allen, Katie Swords-Thurman, Jesse Zaritt, and Sidra Bell. In addition to her passion for dance, she has always had an interest in health and fitness and began to explore how the two could be brought together. Shortly after obtaining her BFA in Dance, Manuela decided to pursue a career in fitness as a Pure Barre Certified instructor. She feels fortunate to have a career that allows her the opportunity to help others move and feel healthier.
